Hi Carley, welcome to VQS! Take us back in time to how you first fell in love with music.

I first fell in love with music when I was about 10 years old, I was always singing when I was little but at the age of 10 I started actively listening to bands! My favourite artist was Avril Lavigne – I knew all of her songs by heart and practiced by singing along to her CD’s!
I learnt guitar at 13, taught myself piano at 14 and tried to improve my singing by warming up each day and pushing myself as best I could. I love singing the most and performing is where I feel most comfortable.

What 3 core values do you believe are necessary for success?

1. Hard work! – I don’t believe you can achieve anything without hard work. I feel alot more accomplished when I work hard and achieve what I wanted to.
2. Encourage others – I believe to succeed you must help others along the way and lift others too!
3. Love what you do – when you stop having fun and being passionate about what you do its time to stop. When you love what you do, the passion keeps you going, loving what you do will get you success!

Who have been some of your favorite people/projects to work with?

Lee Rascal-Dove I did a cover of Ed Sheeran’s Lego House with! That was so fun! Recording with Scott Farron, Stuart Mannell and Dave Griffiths working on my songs has also been a musical highlight. They are wonderful people and very encouraging! I have some more collaborations planned for covers in 2021! I have also enjoyed being involved in blog projects and answering questions for magazines! I love talking about music any chance I get!

What future opportunities would you like to be involved with?

I’d love to get involved in more blogs and features. I’d love to co-write with more artists. I’d love to have a music video and release more music that brings opportunities.
