Hold on tight, Raya’s back with a breath-taking, down-tempo track about the power of apology and letting go in relationships.
Raya, welcome to VQS! Tell us a little bit about you and your music. I am classically trained pianist, singer, dancer and actor. I love writing deep and meaningful songs because it’s a wonderful feeling to express my personal experience and emotions through my music. It’s a real blessing.
“Love is about letting go and being able to love a person from a distance.” – Raya Dize
Congrats on the release! What was your inspiration when you were writing this song? As we all know, Love is not always enough in order to make your relationship work. Sometimes you are being accused of things you never done and sometimes we are just too proud to say sorry. This song is about being able to say sorry and let go. Love each other and treasure every moment of being together. 😍
What is your favorite part of the song? “All you have to say is sorry” – sometimes that’s all you really need in order to save the relationship with your other half. Pride is our enemy.
Anything else we should know about it? Future releases? Upcoming shows? Music video “Mama” is coming out soon

Alyssa, welcome to VQS! Tell us a little bit about you and your music.
I am a 20 year old singer-songwriter from San Diego, California. I would describe my music as pop, country, rock, and Americana. I love writing songs and have been singing and songwriting since I was 13. I love writing songs that tell a story and/or have a strong message, which you can see from the songs I’ve released. My biggest inspirations are Taylor Swift, Maren Morris, Colbie Caillat, and Alanis Morrissette.
