Perseverance is the number one most common characteristic that separates highly successful people like Oprah Winfrey and Elon Musk from the rest. They were all determined to succeed and achieve their goals, but how did they actually achieve them? Here are our 5 Steps To Improve Your Perseverance Skills.
1. What’s Really in Your Heart?
Just knowing what your goals are isn’t enough. How are you reaching them and WHY?
What are your real values in life? What is your main goal?
State a clear goal backed with authentic intention. Write down your end goal and imagine what your life will be like once you achieve it. Get very specific about how you will feel and make sure the goal is measurable, relevant, and time-bound. Find a mentor, and keep taking little steps daily to move forward.
Once you have these questions answered, start diving deeper:
✔️ Where will you live once you have achieved your dreams?
✔️ How will reaching your goal impact your quality of life?
✔️ How much money will you make? Be specific.

2. How Do You Stay Optimistic?
Keep telling yourself that everything is going to work out the way it is supposed to, that you can do anything that you put your efforts into. Always hold an attitude of optimism and keep strong faith in yourself.
A positive mindset is one of your most powerful tools. If you are religious then pray, meditate, and reflect on each situation.
And remember: it is an endurance journey, not a sprint. Have faith in yourself and your situation.
3. Learn How to Embrace The World
Change is a beauthing thing.
The more adaptive you can become, the easier it will be to achieve your goals.
In the music industry, it would have been conceivable to make a living writing, recording, and finding a label 30 years ago. If that was your goal, you must pivot to the newly-changing music scene. Perhaps you can tour live more, set up your own contracts, or create a YouTube Channel.
Keep in mind that even if no one comes, you are still on that stage, and that is special. Accept every performance as a “trial” and a new chance to improve your skills and style. So, be grateful for the opportunity you have been given, and always thank your audience after every song.
